Be committed to keeping our school children safe and I would explore funding options to provide a School Resource Officer in every school.
Utilize the 4-Pillar approach to combat Opioid Abuse and expand our partnership with the Appleton Police Department's Community Resource Unit and the Lake Winnebago Area MEG Drug Unit.
Continue to strengthen the partnerships with other law enforcement agencies, firefighters, paramedics and first responders by promoting the team concept.
I will ensure our Officers are involved in the community and expand on our community policing efforts.
I will utilize and expand alternatives to incarceration by using Evidence Based Decision Making which reduces harm and victimization in our community.
I will ensure our Officers will be properly educated and trained to handle all situations and will hold them to a high standard.
Born and raised in Shiocton, I have been a resident of Outagamie County for the past 42 years. After graduating from Shiocton High School, I attended UW-Stevens Point and received a Bachelor's of Science Degree. After my Senior season, I was selected by the Detroit Lions in the 1999 NFL Draft. After 9 years of professional football I was honored to be a member of the Super Bowl XL Championship team. In 2008, I returned home with my family; wife Jamie and children Kierstin, Carter, Collin and Clay, to the Appleton area and in 2010 I became a Deputy with the Outagamie County Sheriff's Department. During my eight year career with the Sheriff's Department I served as a patrol Deputy, the School Resource Officer for the Shiocton School District and was promoted to a Sergeant, I am an active community member and have been a Head Coach and assistant coach for the Freedom Irish Football Team for the past 8 seasons. I am also a member of the Freedom Lions Club and have always been committed to developing as a leader both in the community and the Sheriff's Department.
"I support Clint as our next Sheriff because of his record of service to our community as a coach, volunteer and Deputy Sheriff who has earned the respect of area law enforcement."
